Rope for DIY soft shackles

The 'improved' design of soft shackle is pretty easy to tie, but if you don't want to learn shoot me a PM.

The important thing to worry about with soft shackles, and Dyneema in general, is D/d ratio. Generally, the larger that ratio, rope dia vs edge radius, the stronger the system will be in rigging.

A 10mm sk-75 'improved' style shackle like mine is approx 230% as strong as the single line rating. With the 10mm line being a bit over 20K in breaking strength, the shackle will ultimately fail around 46K pounds! Soft shackles generally fail in practical use from gross abuse over hard edges and small radius corners.
