I've always like those for a compact gas storage container. But that mounting position looks dangerous!!

These might also be good for carrying fuel on a roof rack.

whats great is the water, first aid, and storage solutions...

Even if we can't get the fuel containers. (I've got a wedco non-carb for my fuel, though, so I'm biased)

can these be shipped to California? is there any kind of C.A.R.B. rules or restrictions on these ??

To be honest with, you I am not 100% certain. I have a call into our vendor, and will post up as soon as I hear back from them.

There isn't really a slam dunk way to carry extra fuel on a moto. I personally like the method in the photo. It keeps the weight low and if it did puncture it is low enough and back far enough to keep the rider somewhat away from danger and all your gear from being fuel soaked. The hard panniers provide some protection from layovers...but I digress.

Back to the point of the thread. Cool product to add to the stable, Wil. :victory:

Nice. I'm looking for a low-profile way to store fuel & water on my roof rack. Might fit the bill...:Wow1:

...Has anyone used those for any distance?

Not the moto ones specifically but our local Cruiser club did a group buy on them last year and everyone has been pleased thus far. As they are semi-local to us I see their products on rigs (mostly quads) out and about often, my next store neighbor has a set he runs on his quad and claims even in the heat of summer bouncing around with a cooler on top, they are leak free.

Hey, those are pretty cool Wil.

Has anyone used those for any distance?
Before we jumped in the RotopaX products several user reviews were searched. I think the best user review is here on this board:

Don't go with the Koplin packs that are sold in the local stores. If you search around online you will see a number of reviews that note they tend to leak.

Rotopax used to make Koplin's product line years back until Koplin decided to switch the design. However, along with Koplin's design change came the leakage issues that have been noted on many of the atv forums.

Rotopax on the other hand have great reviews by all the ATV guys that use these. I ended up purchasing 4 of the gas fuel packs from Rotopax. The fit perfectly on top of my GOBI roof rack and are low profile enough that they don't cause any wind resistance.

I filled them up when I left Houston and drove all the way to Cloudcroft, NM with them. I had forgot to leave some space in the fuel packs for expansion due to elevation and being out in the sun. Needless to say when we were on top of one of the mountains I hoped up to take a look at them and they expanded more than I could believe. I thought for sure that there had to be leaks, but upon closer inspection there weren't any issues at all.

Get two thumbs up in my book and are a nice alternative to jerry cans.

I think user reviews are far better than any words I could use, since I am selling them.
