Also looking at adding one of these for in tent access Given gopro, tablets and all the electronic crap we seem to find use for, just keep it in the box then pass it through an access flap at the front of the tent etc.

Battery will be sweating heavy use but with some solar charging, still running numbers we can make it work. I want to keep weight and cost low so going light on the power source ;-)

Ok change in plans been scoping out all the Solar Generator videos on Youtube. So I think I'm going to mount a metal ammo box to the front corner of the trailer then go with the 18ah SLA.

Side note our late arrival at the camp ground Friday last week was good I quickly learned I couldn't see squat behind me in the dark to back up the trailer! Hmm ok so key fob on off switch for a rear facing LED light on the back of the trailer has been added to the "want" list.

With lots of looking into what folks are using with these Solar Generators I think the 18AH battery and a small 30watt or under higher end panel will do what I need.

Similar idea to this only mounted up on the trailer then wired to power LED lighting and some basic cellphone, gopro type charging ability etc. Plug to power air compressor for tires if needed etc.

I'm planning on mounting 2 rear facing roof rack lights for the same reason. Will have them on a switch.

I should have grabbed them, they are pretty cheap. I'd rather have battery powered than wiring something to my truck.

Switches work amazing. Only trouble is mounting them. Zip ties work on the tent, had to get creative with screws on the annex and the awning it just hangs out. Thinking of some strong double sided tape. We moved the tent over to my 98 disco for our last trip. Some issues with the 95 needed to be sorted and could not get it done in time. Will probably be going back to that truck. That's why there is a different truck in this pic.

Nice setup. What brand of solar landscape lights are those? I've thought about using those for tent stake lighting.
