Safety chain attachment on the Jeep

:sombrero: Each state has different vehicle laws and then, how they're interpreted by an officer of the law

In California, I believe any trailer 1000# or over (single axle) has to use safety chains and--

In technical terms, they have to CROSS under the trailer tongue and be "of correct length, to prevent tongue from hitting pavement"

Now in those technical terms, you can't use the bumper recovery points--to wide a span (California)

So the safety chains have more than the obvious reason for safely pulling the trailer, check your local laws !
