Santiago Peak, CA - Nissan Frontier gathering

Me and 2 buddies from southern California got together to do some exploring around Santiago peak late last year and im just now getting around to posting pictures.

It really is a great place to go riding, most of it is 2WD friendly, but there are alot of off shoots that you gotta look for that are 4x4 friendly as well.

Don't have much action shots because we were to busy having fun driving but here's some great scenic views of what saddleback mountains of SOCAL have to offer.

Took my truck out and scratched the crap out of it 2days after buying it

I do plan to do more work to the truck, and start doing some crawling, but there isn't much to offer around my area, so its time to go explore.

Enjoy.

Glad to see some more pristine shots of nature.
Although if I was a skateboarder I guess I'd be in heaven:punk03:

its located in the middle of the windy tree covered road after cooks corner. About 1/2 mile before the holy jims trail enterance. To give u a better idea. It used to be a house with a 1/4 mile driveway hah but everything was taken out and disposed of.even the long driveway. Its all dirt now, can barely drive my truck on it. Look for an old rusty gate. Basically there's an opening to the right. Just go around it heh

Hope that helps.

I've been up and down this hill/mountain quite a few times. I live in villa park/orange so santiago is about 10 minutes away. Not bad for some backyard trails huh.

Most people dont know about this spot is because theres a gate and 1/4 mile of hill and shrubs you gotta go through to get to it. Just looks like an abandoned locked gate from the outside to most people. that's where exploring comes in handy heh.

As far as santiago itself. I've tried to map the area through google earth, but there's too many dang offshoots to follow. So i dont even bother.

I noticed your website has the solder joint logo on it. Thats where i got most of my CB stuff. My ham stuff I goto one of my sea captains, but if he doesnt have it then i goto ham radio outlet in anacrime.

But i live about 3 blocks from solder joint. Taft & Tustin
