Satan's Lavatory~ 92 Cummins

I got the exhaust to dump in front of the rear wheel with a "grandpa" tip. 4" turn-out turned down and back slightly.

I was in the process of getting the capper Friday. Just got it on when the owner goes "It wont fit. I forgot it was made for a Chevy." It was about 1" total, 1/2 " inward of each bed rail. Sat there for 5 or so minutes trying to figure out what I was going to do when my pager goes off. Field fire. Ugh...

Then we got this stuck. It is a 1978. Holds 750 gallon and 2 1-1/2" water cannons. Tractor pulled us out.

Left the capper at the guys house and picking it up on Monday.

Well, I said no to the aluminum capper. I am going to try and rebuild my old fiberglass one. Leaked everywhere, needs new windows in a couple spots, the wood that it was screwed to is rotten... But it fits...

Here is the in-laws pond, looking back from where I took it before.

Also, some big fish in the pond. I caught a 16" bass and a 8" one in about 10 mins. A friend came over on Sunday and caught these babies. The big one is 20"...

How is the Getrag holding up to the engine mods? I've always considered it to be the weak link and the reason I have left my '92 stock. I'm a little over 450,000km now and I'm thinking I'm on borrowed time.

Mine is doing fine. I don't lug 4th and I overfilled it by 1qt of synthetic 10w-30. It has been rebuilt by the PO but the kid loved to make that thing smoke. I cringed when he put it in 4th at 20mph to show me how much it smoked... :Wow1:

I should have the topper ready to go next weekend. I did shorten the width of the tool box to fit inside the bed rails. I took a total of 7" off.

Been awhile.

Found out the wife was preggo so all the stuff in our extra bedroom had to be boxed up and the baby stuff went in. I blew a headgasket and replaced that. Truck did a couple more pulls and about 30 drag strip with my best being 15.58 @84mph. Cracked the steering gearbox mount and welded that up. Got some new wheels/tires for $250 with a lot of tread. Black steel wagon wheels and AT 33x12.5x16.5. Getting a proper exhaust welded up as soon as I can make it to my buddy's house.

And now the little one is 3 months old.

Here she is a day old weighing in at 9lbs 6oz

And today around 14-14.5lbs. She weighed 13.5 a month ago...

I just did today. After sitting for 2 years out side, i had to remove the rear hatch frame because it got dented and the glass busted. Also the rails the bottom of the fiberglass attached to were a custom sized wood with metal shielding. They were 4" wide and 1-5/8" tall. A 2x4 fit nearly perfect.

Plans are to build a rear hatch or custom barn doors. Fix the windows. Add some lighting and give it a good bath. Might try to plasti-dip it black if it can bond. Also it is an old LEER. Found the data plate with a serial number.

Is it not a bit chilly for camping right now? While I fully support the get out there idea, you could get a portable viair compressor and a decent set of lights for $250. I'm sure by camping season you could save up that $250 again...
