We're looking into trading our truck in for a Van, we fell in love with the size and drivability of the 118 Promaster. The FWD seems to be a good compromise for us, at most we travel the cascade coastal ranges in inclement weather and the occasional gravel road searching for surf and flyfishing. I figure FWD and a set of AT's will suffice.
The biggest hurdle is finding a safe seating setup for the van. We have a 7year old and his safety is obviously very important to us. I'm trying to find someone that makes a safe bench seat setup for the promaster. We have a Roof top tent that we love so don't need the bench to fold down, just have shoulder belts and not have to worry about the seat ripping out in an emergency stop or accident.
I've seen lots of DIY solutions but not sure it's something I trust myself in doing. Can anyone recommend solutions?
