And you totally lose the folding option with the original rear seats. We didn't have to fold the rear seat often yet when we did the space gained was awesome.

Good point...With the RRC seats I feel you loose openness, I just like to look over my shoulder and see the whole interior
The front seats will be D110 with headrests, seats will be recovered in gray leather.

I kinda liked black as it went with the dash and door inserts. And yes being able to see everything is a plus. I always was worried about the vehicles around us and what they were doing. Primarily the only back seat occupants were the 2 Labs so the 109 std bench was fine for them. We had a 110 in Brasil and although many complain about the front seats they worked for us on many a long trip.

Of course now they are spoiled in the back of the LWB Rangie!

I do have the option to cover them in black with a gray center insert... My wife's favorite color in Rovers is the camel color so there is no telling what will happen down the road.
for this effort it will remain blue

Update: What started out as a simple fix the doors turned into a semi serious project build, we are closing in on the final paint so I will start a new build post.
It is now a 1965 109 sitting on a stretched D1 coil chassis, 4 wheel disc, retained 3.9/ZF auto just set back to get the series front end back on but with quad headlights, defender seats frt and rear but in leather, dual heaters, refreshed paint, etc etc
Oh and I missed two birthdays and she still doesn't know about it.

Hmmmm, that doesnt look like an older Series at all. The hood, the hole in the RF fender, the dash; not older series.

Possibly one of the transition models, between series and defender?

I was thinking the same... my SIII had a very different dash, I just fingured someone updated the front clip at some point to explain the "new style" front end.... but now I am wondering What is is lol
