My ‘93 (sold a while) ago had cloth upholstery which is much more durable than the optional leather, also non -power seats. No airbag driver or passenger on the ‘93, and R12 refrigerant in the AC. Also, the earlier years with 3 row seating had a center lap belt in the 3rd row which allowed full 8 passenger seating; later years went to 7 passenger. A very few FZJ’s were sold in the US without rear discs and these didn’t have the full-floating axle. I test drove a few earlier FJ80’s with the 3FE and not only were they slower and nosier, the transmission tuning made them feel even worse: the DOHC motor with the 442F trans felt far better. No 2nd gear start or IIRC center diff lock in high range on those early FZJ’s like mine.
