Seventh Gen Suburban?

I was just curious if anyone knows what the rear cargo dimensions are in these suburbans? Is it large enough to put a sleeping platform with the rear seats still installed?

With out hards fact but a ton of inference based on previous gens. I would say no. The 3rd row would have to come out if you want to have anywhere enough room to sleep. Or fold flat if it does that instead.

Which one is the 7th gen? Recent model Suburbans are usually divided into the following categories:

K2xx: 2015 - present
GMT-900: 2007- 2014
GMT-800: 2000 - 2006
GMT-400: 1991 - 1999
Square Body: 1973 - 1990 or 91 (there is some overlap between Square Body and GMT-400)

That covers probably 99.5% of the Suburbans on the road today. Anything older than 1973 would be considered a 'classic' and you're not going to see a lot of them off road (yes, I know we have at least one member here who rocks a 1967-72 'Burb but they are not at all common.)

WRT the GMT-800 model, I measured the cargo area on mine with the seats in all 3 positions. Here are the measurements:

3rd row removed, 2nd row folded down (no seats behind the driver are up):

3rd row removed, 2nd row up (1 set of seats behind driver):

3rd row in place, 2 rows behind driver:

Measurement taken at the end of the carpet by the rear lift gate.

Seventh gens to my knowledge are 1973–1991 square body suburbans. Thank you for the info and taking measurements! That helps a lot!
