Shopping for tires Gen 3 BFG T/A KO

Almost a month on the tires. Not so sure about the size. We have a lot of "grooved" pavement here to aid in traction in snow. These narrow tires seam to follow the grooves much more than any of the other tires we run. Truck also doesn't seam to ride as firmly planted to the road as with 265 series tires. Anybody running Hercules Terra Trac AT2s? 26575R16

Thought about going skinny but ended up on 265/75 Duratracs and have zero complaints about road manners. Oddly it has not snowed since I put them on but I know they will do well.

Dropped the air pressure from 45 psi to 35 psi. BETTER! Going to drop to 32 psi tomorrow and drive on the same grooved road. Its not too close to our house, but is on a frequent route of my wife. (guess where the original complaint came from)

Who had the idea to put 45 pounds in the tires?? Recommended pressure is 32-35 no matter the load rating of the tire or it will ride harsh.

Tire shop that mounted them. Had no idea. I asked for 35 psi when they mounted them up. Didn't check until today when doing an oil change and part of my routine checks. Guess that goes to show - never assume anything.

The tires look good!

Someone mentioned that '03 and newer had 17" factory wheels, but I think they started putting the 17" wheels on in '04. Here is an old pic of my '03 with 255/65-16 KM2 on factory wheels.

dropped the tire pressure to 32 (@48 deg F) on Saturday about 30 psi this morning at 20 deg F. Still kinda squirmy on that particular stretch of road. I decided to test the road by also driving my '92 down it. About a 4 mile stretch. No squirming at all. 32 psi this morning in the Wild Peaks (~35k on these tires). Tomorrow I'll test out the daughters '93 being it has the same treaded tires (5k on them tops) as the wife's truck.
