.... I can back up all my statements with factual emails and an invoice, which I know Fresno demands to see in order for him to believe a word anyone else says.

WHOA PARTNER. Im on your side in this discussion. I only suggested that emails and invoices would help everyone understand the facts. I was one of the first to question Sierra's business ethics and honesty. My opinions on this were not well recieved. Until more victims came forward and posted here.

I agree with your post, Chris needs to speak for himself. However, I canceled my order with Sierra when Chris failed to send me a contract. So at this point, those members and their families who have been lied to, delayed and stolen from; don't need me to speak for them either.

BTW Dendy does have a different view of this situtation than I. But he does have a healthly respect for free speech. Even a Mod is entitled to his opinion.

Signing off.

So, IMO, by continuing to give his phone conversation with Sierra4x4 greater weight than the facts as told by a number of dissatisfied customers he is clearly standing up for Sierra4x4. I think it's a legitimate question whether this behavior is being motivated by the commerical relationship between ExPo and Sierra4x4, or by the best interests of the members here. To me, unfortunately, there is at least the appearance of the former.

there is NO COMMERCIAL RELATIONSHIP with Sierra 4x4

In fact, quite the opposite, known by those who read Chris Collard's editorial on our experience with Sierra and the Overland Journal rack test.

About to place an order with Chris for a pair of his fenders and I find this thread! Amazingly, I have talked to him twice over the phone every time I've called. I even saw one of his trailers up close being delivered by a vendor here in TX on its way to Neb. I'm going to take my chances on ordering the fenders. I'll keep you guys posted.

My apologies to Scott and Dendy. Somewhere in the discussion someone mentioned that Sierra4x4 was an ExPo sponsor/advertiser, and I took them at their word.

Additionally,
I find it complete and utter BS that JoeJeep and Johnainny, who placed their orders in Oct and Nov of 2011 got passed up in favor of RFDGUY, who placed his order in Jan. RFDGUY, glad you got your trailer, but you slid in there underneath other's who paid and ordered before you did. Go take your trailer and use it.

GallatinGateway60,

It is in now way my fault that my trailer was done before others. Every conversation that I had with Chris was that the others were completed and my turn was next. If Sierra 4x4 delivered mine before them, then it's not my fault. I'm just another customer that paid for his order and waited more than double the estimated completion time frame for his trailer. I in no way tried to get mine done before any other person's build. I just wanted mine completed like everyone else.

Maybe I'm wrong, but the first time I read that, I didn't take it as anything more than a dig at Chris. In no way did you do anything wrong. I hope that GG60 was simply saying that you're more lucky than the others.

Joe's Update

Hi everyone, this is Joe, the person this thread was started for to get your help. See my 2 other post #15 & #20.

I have no news or updates to report on my trailer. Sierra4x4trailers has not returned any of my calls.

I don't know what's going on.

Some of you remember, I paid in full Oct 12, 2011. See the invoice in my #20 post.

Dendy Jarrett, you be the man here and make the call to Chris again while I keep calm my frustrations. Please ask him when my trailer is going to be delivered. This is ridiculous.

Since he most Likely reads this thread I assume you will receive them in record time.
IMO he used everyone's money for something else......and has lied to clients as he tried to catch up. Why else would he not communicate. "Desperation seeks food in dark places" Gambling comes to mind but who knows?
I hope he realizes how much support he has from many folks here cause I don't think he deserves it no matter how skilled he is! Shadey at best.

I ordered my trailer in Feb. and took delivery May. I never got a hard date for delivery. I was told 8-12 weeks I believe. I did hound Chris a bit towards the end because I had a trip I was going on. I am having an issue with the bed liner bubbling up. Chris stated that they figured out what is happening, and the issue is being handled. The hardest part is getting our schedules lined up to fix it. It's more my fault than his. I'm very happy with the product. Chris IS a good guy and his product IS also good. I do believe his communication skills could be improved, but I also think there are a few on this thread that could improve their communication skills as well. Just my two cents. Hang in there. You will be happy with what you get when you get it. I'm sure this may come off as blowing sunshine up someone's butt, but it was the experience I had with Sierra4x4.
