Yeah, I'm shure. But its 90mi away too. I found a ARB for a 89ish nissan pu in my town ($500) but it is not as bobust as the ont that was for the montero (and taco for that matter).
There is this fab shop where I live. The guy there ,Tim, is really nice. He removed 3 broken skid plate bolts for me for $45 when NO OTHER SHOP would even touch it! I'm going to have him fab some brackets to rais my bumpers when the lift is done.

Meanwhile (at the bat cave) the search continues for a bumper...

I recommend you wait til you find the bumper and then have an adapter made which incorporates the added lift. It's always easier and more accurate to make those measurements when the bumper and rig are there. ;)

Yup, been there, done that. Because I didn't wait, he ended up making two immaculate and perfect paperweights.:(

For now, Just make an adapter to fit bumpers, at least the front. Not modify the truck. When I do score a bumper, I'll have the shop rit it to my truck. Im sure I could sell the adaptor brackets on ebay if I want to get rid of them later. I'm not sure if I should bother keeping the old bumper and grill gaurd. Not sure why I would ever want to put it back on OR where the heck I will keep it.

So I got my new blocks today and I'm kinda stuck. I can't seem to get the lt and rt front bolts out. Pushing them up the tab isn't clearing the hole. How did you guys that have din this, get them out?

They come out better when you lift the body, they supposed to come out at an angle. Top of bolt tilted toward the front of the car, they should come right out.

Lift finished!

Got the front bolts out by using a punch and a mallet. The tab was hanging up, but "persuading" it, it easily bent and was able to be removed.

Took me quit a bit longer than 4 hrs, to say the least. I did it at my house instead of my pops shop. I didn't have the right things I needed at times. I'm used to working on cars, so I have a low profile floor jack. It also took extra time because I've never done this before, I didn't have any kind of manual, had a ton of frozen fasteners, and my only help was my 13 y/o son.....or maybe I dragged it out because it was cool wrenching with my kid :)
I most likely will hand it down to him when he gets his license and I get a gen3 :)
Anyway, I'll get some pics this afternoon. Aside from the lift I had to repair the snorkel/air box connection. The epoxy I used didn't hold up to the engine bay temps. JB weld to the rescue! I guess the pkg says it can handle up to 600*F and the epoxy I used only was good to ~200*F. Live and learn, right?

Not really here
That looks great man. I know you were contemplating the switch to a 35, but have you considered going to a 33x14x15 by any chance? Interco SS Boggers are made in that size and would fill the lift you have fairly well. You could use those and not have to worry about gearing. Just a thought, but I bet they'd look killer and perform very well. Especially in the mud and with the width, you'd stand out here on the Expo. Just my .02
