Similarity & differences in fzj80/HDJ81

what are the Similarity & differences between fzj80/HDJ81?

could i use suspention parts from a fzj80 on a HDj81
bumpers/frames the same?

I dont know anything about 81'.s.... but some of the things that pop out at me would be the diesel engine, possible right hand drive (different dash layout) and possible ambulance doors instead of a hatch.

I really don't know for sure, and I really should know for sure. Please post back when you get your final answer. I would never have guessed the FJ80 and FZJ80 frames to be different (other than the tranny & engine mounts) but alas supposedly they are (spring suspension stuff is the same).

I will say that the US FZJ80 frames are stamped with *HJ81* though which is a good first indicator of similarity? and my first guess would be that for sure the suspension components (like the spring seats) and bumper ends are the same.
