Sleeping Platform, not your typical one

Very nice but wondering how he would get out if needed? From the pictures it looks like there
would be no place for him to exit once the rear door is closed. The front is blocked by the dog barrier
and it appears as though there is no way to access the rear door latch. Just thinking in case of emergency
he would be stuck.................

I worried about this as well. There is about 4 inches of space betwen the rear glass and the bed, so that he can reach down and open the door using the rear handle. I made him demonstrate how good he was at opening the door many times before I was comfortable leaving him in there.

I was torn about leaving the dog barrier in place or not, and it will probably be removed next year once I finalize plans on roof rack storage.
