I've got 1 maintenance and 2 mods, so I'll start with maint. since I've owned
the runner since July I've done oil, filter and plugs. So a week ago tryed to
change the fuel filter but was rusted on so saturated with wd40 and this last
Friday tryed again needed a monkey wrench on one side. I think it was original.
Next I needed a new air filter so I decided on a reuseable and found one on
Rockauto, Fram AirHog, I know fram sucks but it was a closeout for $7 so
could pass it up. And last but the best is Bilstein 5100 adjustable fronts from
Wheelers Offroad. They wheren't under the 4runner section but the tacoma
section and since their both the same got them.

Put on the middle setting because I don't have a rear set up yet, got about
"1.25 and love the ride.

will post pics tonite of before and after.

all right back to the top.
just bought some tires and rims off an 07 tacoma, steel wheels and 265/75/16
michelin's LTX I think $500 owner had them on the truck 3 or 4 days then bought new tires and rims. May be 200 miles on them.

the other tires on the limited rims are 265/70's, after winter the new tires go on
those rims and old tires go on the steelies.

now need to lift the rear 2"s and got them on before the snow starts today,
got a hockey game an hour away so these will work out great.

Fram? Ewwww. Go OEM! $17 every 20k miles for a fresh filter that FILTERS ain't that bad. :cow:
20k miles!! :yikes:

I sure wish I could get that out of an air filter. With a lot of offroading I get less than an oil change out of one. At that point I can remove it and create a small pile of dirt on the ground its so saturated.

I do a lot (a LOT) of highway driving. :D

Woodeye - Did you happen to measure the offset (backspacing) on those Tacoma rims? Could you post the results? Thanks.
