Didn't JSherb mentioned a while back that he was about to sell the concept to a company that could produce large scale? Maybe that was it...

I have nothing at all to do with the Smittybilt hardtop or with Smittybilt in general.

The top that could be.

Could have sliding windows
Could have a taller hatch
Could have a removable front piece
Could have a pop top tent option
Could have an integrated CHMSL
Could have an optional "Dan Grec Sport Bar" (TM pending?) :)
Could have an optional "JScherb Safari Package Soft Side System" (a patent pending, mind bending trade marked production ;))

Cool that they made one. It shows there is more than just a niche interest in this market.
I hope it generated a lot of interest at their booth.
Would be interesting if they sat down and figured out all the current gear they sell, that could be used for an exploration build. Then used all their gear to build a full on exploration Jeep. Right down to some well dressed manikins with their i-pod map apps out looking like they are tracing the Lewis-Clark trail.

I'm a "buy American" type, but I value the input from large companies like this, who mass market to a much broader spectrum of Jeep people.
The more people there are that see exploring as more fun than just wheeling, the more opportunities for groups like BRC, Tread Lightly, etc. to lobby successfully for more trails.
