Snorkie mounted up!

Looks like I can do an initial offering of 180$ with me modding a few parts, and providing the laser cut templates. For 2.7L applications like mine, I will also supply spacers to raise the airbox about 1" which makes the transition easier and puts the input of the snorkel right into the stock airbox, which I thought was cool. I know the V6 applications required some bent exhaust tubing which I might get supplied but haven't looked into yet, as I'm a 4cyl.

Yes there are many expenses that add up quickly when importing. I'm able to share the burden initially by splitting the order with a neighbor who works on other trucks so I'm only on the hook for 10. I will likely be offering these in about a month.

As to the quality of the plastic used, it seems very heavy duty. It's a textured gloss abs? Not sure but I can say that you could probably smash out all the windows on a car with it no problem. It's thick and hearty. The 10 year UV test will take almost 10 more years so I'm afraid that's yet to be determined but the factory offers about 4 dozen different snorkels for various vehicles so they are a big mfg of this kind of thing.
Has aluminum threaded inserts on the back in 5 places for mounting, plus 3 more in the vertical piece for rivets to the A-pillar. After completely molesting my fender I was shy to drill holes in the A pillar too, so I instead used double stick tape on that bracket. The snorkel is sturdy enough it probably doesn't need any attachment there but I figured since it comes with a decent bracket why not, and the double stick just ads a bit of vibration control and strength. I will include 3 black pop rivets if you want to go that route, I will also include the tape so you can choose one or both.
I'm considering having a piece of metal tube bent to offer for V6 users, but I would need to install one or have someone here send me one they made that works well and we can go from there. The 4 cyl airbox happens to be right there already.

Yes I'm still working on the deal and setting up escrow and whatnot. It's going to be a few weeks before I can have my hands on them minimum, then I will make the template and laser them up and mod the parts. Will start a new thread when that happens probably. Keep tuned!

Not at this time. Second gen only. There are lots of other vehicles available though, if there is another application that fits first gen, it's possible those are available.

Looks great, I'll have to keep an eye out for your truck running around town...

Cheers
