PRICE: $35,000 USD
Imported from Austria to Canada in January 2010 as a Fire/Rescue Vehicle with 39,950 kms. It now has 63,600 kms (39,520 miles)
2.3L I4 Stock Gas Engine with a 5 Speed Manual Transmission
4x4 Conversion performed new in Austria by Oberaigner Powertrain GmbH, an approved upfitter/partner for Mercedes-Benz
The 4x4 system is based on the W460 Series Mercedes GWagen and includes:
711.110 Iron Box 5 Speed with 1:6.15 first gear and 1:1 fifth gear.
VG-080 shift on the fly GWagen Transfer Case, operated pnuematically by an on board compressor system.
Heavy Duty, Wider Commercial/Military GWagen axles with 1:4857 (34/7) differential gearing, including a rear hydraullicly activated locker.

The Custom Pop-Top was designed, built and installed by GTRV here in British Columbia.
Highway fuel economy averages: 16.5L/100km, 17 mpg/Imperial, 14.5 mpg/US.
Tires are Cooper Discoverer 235/85-R16 A-T3 with 15,800 kms (10K miles).

This is unique vehicle and would be an exceptional platform for an Expedition Grade Camper.
As it is mostly unfinished inside, it is a blank canvas for a creative custom interior. Westfalia Syncro on Steriods anybody?
I had lower front fender and inner/outer rocker panel rust removal professionally done in January 2014. Photos of work done are available.
The body is sound with very minimal rust and the chassis, mechanicals and electrics are all excellent.

Available separately if wanted is a desireable diesel engine for this vehicle. 90% of these Vans produced were the 310D model, which utilized
the 2.9L Mercedes OM602 NA 5 cylinder diesel. The gas engines were more commonly used in KLFA Fire-Rescue Vans to enable a higher top speed.
In 2013 I purchased a near new (10 running hrs) UL90/100 Unimog OM602.948 Engine with the ultimate intention of installing it in the Van. I haven't done so as
I have since determined that selling a vehilce into the USA with a non-stock engine is problematic.

This engine will require some adaptation to install. A front sump oil pan with associated pickup tube, Van specific downward facing oil filter housing,
oil cooler and lines, motor mounts, belt driven accessory reconfiguration and dip stick relocation are required. This is being done by an Independent Mercedes
Specialist Shop locally. Engine placement is essentially a drop in as the Van was designed for this engine. Fuel lines, throttle linkage etc. will need attention.
The 2.9L diesel engine and the 2.3L gas engine share the same bellhousing bolt pattern so the 711.110 manual transmission is a direct bolt up.

Included with the engine is an Aerodyne/Aerocharger Variable Vane Turbocharger. This will produce a substantial increase in power and if the boost is kept
conservative (i.e. 15-20 psi) the engine will maintain its known longevity. The turbo is a 143/300 trim unit and can support up to a maximum of 160 hp in a diesel
engine application. Custom turbo plumbing, intercooler fabrication, IP tuning etc. will be necessary.
Engine Price: $4500 USD

Some photos of the OM602 as I bought it, still in Unimog Trim. Within a couple of weeks I will have the engine back from the Mercedes Shop, reconfigured for fitting in the Van. I will post more Photos of it then.
Also attached are some photos of the Van when I first bought it.

New Selling Price for the Vehicle is $28,000 USD. A drop of 20% to spark some interest. The vehicle is in superb condition and is available with or without the the separate OM602 2.9L diesel engine.?

Where did you source the Unimog 602 Turbo diesel? Msg me if you don't sell it with the Van.

I still have the diesel, as the person who bought the Van was from Alaska and preferred to have the gas engine.
I bought the engine here in Vancouver, BC., with 10 hrs on it.
I have sent you a msg.
I intend to list it for sale on this site, with or without the VVT turbo.
