Some of you may know me from T4R.org. I also work closely with www.teardropsnw.com. We are building a new 2017 Recon model for our upcoming season of trade shows so it's time to let my beloved Recon 1 go. It has been an extremely reliable camp partner for me and my family. We completed an epic cross country trip from west to east and back again. I also completed the White Rim trail in Canyonlands NP with no hiccups whatsoever. She absolutely tows immaculately!
So here are some details:
5x8.5 body with queen size mattress (mattress from Ikea)
Approximately 2200lbs fully loaded with all camp gear
Approximate 220lb tongue weight
Fully boxed 2x3 black powder coated frame
Powder coated roof, hatch, and sides
Black diamond plated rock guard
3500lb Dexter axle with 10" brakes
Leaf spring suspension, spring under (I was planning on putting 34" tires to match the 4R and do a spring over)
Lock N Roll hitch
ARB 50qt fridge with transit cover
Camp Chef Everest 2 burner stove
CVT Mt Shasta with annex (not pictured)
Tekonsha wireless brake controller
Black steel wheels with 205/75R15 Radial trailer tires, bias spare
LED lighting throughout, 2 interior dome lights, 2 porch lights, 1 galley, all taillights and reverse
twin 6v Interstate batteries with box
Diamond plate triangular tongue box
Xantrex Prowatt SW 1000w inverter
Blue Sea Systems fuse box
Wheeled tongue jack with safety chains
Powertank Propane mount with tank
Expanded steel cargo area behind tongue box for firewood, camp chairs, etc.
100% Marine grade Birch construction 3/4" walls and 1.5" galley walls
Cabinetry is glued and screwed with dado construction
Everything is CNC machined so tolerances are tight
Marine grade shore plug
120v outlets in galley and cabin
USB outlets in galley and cabin
12v cig lighter outlet in galley and cabin
2x Side fans with rheostat for speed controls
Rear stabilizer jacks
Locking Rotopax mount with 2x 2gal Rotopax fuel containers
Absolutely NO LEAKS
Asking $17,500 OBO
A comparable new build would be around $24K
