A better Antenna mount

I went and purchased a new antenna mount today
Comet Antenna RS-720 NMO-Type Hatch-trunk-Lip mount
I mounted it on the front of the hood passenger side. You could just as easy mount it on the side of the hood.

Okay Lance...stop teasing...what's the make/model of the tent and where oh where did you get it? Inquiring minds want to know! :D

BTW...the Jeep is looking REAL nice! Like the new shoes and lift. :D

OK I'm Not Lance, For some reason People think 1legged guys are all named Lance. :hehe:

Thanks anyway!!!

:jump: Sorry about that Jerry...I posted that about 4am (my time...here in Iraq) and guess I was more tired that I thought...won't happen again. :D

Still though...you didn't fill me in on the tent you're using. It looks like it's really simple to use...just fold it open and then fold it shut. How long does it take to set up? 3 mintues?

Jerry, did you notice a huge power loss when you went up in tire size? What is your fuel mileage like with the larger tires?

We're at 15-18 MPG on Unlimited Rubicons on 34.4" MT tires....with no power loss at all.

You have a Rubicon with 4.10's though. The 3.21's or 3.73's have got to have some power loss.

My 2007 auto has 4:10's (stock).
On road I did notice some power loss. It is more noticeable on steep hills on road. around town can't tell at all.

Off-road I notice no power loss at all. I highly recommend the narrower tire 255/85-16. I believe they give better MPG over the wider 33x12.5 tires. The next set of tires will be a AT tire like cooper st. I don't really need the Muds.

When i begin towing a trailer I plan to upgrade the gears to 4:88s or 5:13s. Until then I will keep the 4:10s.

Last trip I avg over 18 MPG, Freeway. MPG is easily adjusted with the gas pedal. Keep your foot out of it and you will get decent MPG. Drive it like a sports car and you will get Muscle Car like MPG. Remember it's a Jeep and it's cool even when going slow. :smiley_drive:

Thanks for asking!

I don't know what brand exactly that Jerry is using, but there are many tent cots out there. Kamp-Rite seems to be the most popular brand. Bass Pro Shops, and Cabela's have some to choose from. I also think that I saw a couple versions at REI this last weekend.
