You have a Rubicon with 4.10's though. The 3.21's or 3.73's have got to have some power loss.
My 2007 auto has 4:10's (stock).
On road I did notice some power loss. It is more noticeable on steep hills on road. around town can't tell at all.
Off-road I notice no power loss at all. I highly recommend the narrower tire 255/85-16. I believe they give better MPG over the wider 33x12.5 tires. The next set of tires will be a AT tire like cooper st. I don't really need the Muds.
When i begin towing a trailer I plan to upgrade the gears to 4:88s or 5:13s. Until then I will keep the 4:10s.
Last trip I avg over 18 MPG, Freeway. MPG is easily adjusted with the gas pedal. Keep your foot out of it and you will get decent MPG. Drive it like a sports car and you will get Muscle Car like MPG. Remember it's a Jeep and it's cool even when going slow. :smiley_drive:
Thanks for asking!
