Seems like a bad idea to me, maybe worthwhile to use in the field to get you home but it wouldnt be my solution. Makes sense to fix the issue with the cooling system as it is pretty important to the RV8

I agree that it may be a band-aid approach to the inevitable. I couldn't figure out where my leak was coming from and it was very small. I saw no drop in the coolant level reservoir, just noticed an accumulation of dried coolant and one drop a night on the ground.

For me, I used BARS stop leak and its still working 8 months later.

I wasn't convinced it was my head gasket and my leak was very minor, so the 'quick fix' did the trick. I did notice it made the coolant tank darker though...
I plan on flushing the system this spring.
