Observer
Price: $32k (Camper only*, no trades)
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

*Truck possibly for sale as turnkey setup, up for negotiation (2004.5 Ford F-250 CCLB 6.blo, 126k miles, FULLY bulletproofed, lockers, armor, winch, EXTENSIVE records, etc). Selling camper to fund other endeavors. It is basically brand new, with only ~10 days of use. Sad, I know.

Truck+Camper: Budget Earthroamer

Details:

8’ Spacekap Diablo

-Production unit #1 Sherpa model, true 4-season camper, ~1800 lbs, outfitted by Le Petit Campeurs out of Montreal, Quebec, CA.

Spec’d as follows:

From Fibrobec (Spacekap manufacturer)

-HD roof model (higher roof weight capacity)
-Front sliding window (skinny folk can wiggle from truck cab to camper and back)
-Driver and passenger side rear door windows (I can see out the back w/ rear view mirror)
-Roof rack (for solar panels)
-4X Rieco 2200 lbs each lifting jacks (used for lifting camper off truck for removal/installation)

Camper Additions:

-Wool insulation, wood panels, w/ gray fabric paneling over panels (5’11 interior standing height)
-Vinyl flooring over foam-insulated floor
-Custom storage on passenger side w/ “milk crate” storage and gear bin
-Custom bench that flips over into full size bed w/ 4” thick foam and Sunbrella fabric (52” x72” bed)
-Under-bench storage area using 80-20 aluminum extrusion
-Driver side overhead storage
-Wall-mount storage nets and teak wood tray
-Lagun table and mount (stores in upper storage area when using bench as bed)
-Integrated L-track for hanging on passenger side
-Rolef custom top/center window cover, Maxxair fan cover, and door screen
-Custom locking marine hatch on driver side door - currently setup for use with a custom modular Eberspacher diesel heater )
-2X Arctic Tern windows w/ integrated shades and bug screens
-Thule 8’ Hideaway awning

Electrical:

-Arctic Tern electric roof hatch (useful for cleaning solar panels!)
-Smoke + CO2 detector and alarm
-52L National Luna Refrigerator
-Maxxair Deluxe fan
-Dimmable LED lighting system in ceiling w/ remote
-Exterior LED on door switch (also switches on/off manually)
-Sirocco wall-mount fan
-Flex LED lamp over bench w/ USB charging
-1X Blue Sea Systems fuse block
-1X Blue Sea Systems 2X USB outlet
-1X Blue Sea Systems cigarette outlet
-3X Renogy 100W solar panels (need different power supply to use)
-Main power cable outlet in weather-safe location, uses 50A Anderson style connector
-National Luna 12V portable power pack with Odyssey AGM battery controls all electrical and charged by truck alternator (need to swap to a solar-friendly version for the solar to be added back in, but this will run the camper electrical as it stands)

Installation:

-Some basic wiring that connects the 12V system to the truck for the key fob lock/unlock feature, etc (adapters included, and also allows any battery system you select to also be charged by the truck alternator)
-Bed hooks at the 4X lower corners (standard in most trucks I’ve seen); the Spacekap used HD straps to attach to these hooks
-Truck-specific installation kit required (basically a few supports you add to the bed of your truck to make sure the spacing is just right for the camper relative to the truck bed (I will provide the one in my truck with sale, but it was made for 1999-2016 Ford Super Duty pickups):

Installed National Luna 12V portable power pack, alternator charged/connected, runs on another Odyssey AGM (will need savvy person w/ DC-DC charge controller to integrate solar, or better, swap this out for the new NL DC-25 or similar with integrated solar inputs and regulators.
