My parents have recently purchased a pop up camper and I could use some advice/help fixing it. Something is wrong with the cables and the top will not raise up. When I crank the pulley it feels like the cable is stuck somewhere. Does anyone have any experience with this?

My parents have recently purchased a pop up camper and I could use some advice/help fixing it. Something is wrong with the cables and the top will not raise up. When I crank the pulley it feels like the cable is stuck somewhere. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Common issue on these setups caused by lowering it and then not keeping tension on the lines once lowered ( giving it a turn or two once lowered to keep tension on the lines during travel is key).

You will need to remove some panels to access the cable runs, find the pulleys at both locations and make sure they are not bound up somewhere. Once this is done it will raise up fine.
