Yep, did that to my Hi-lift back in the eighties; it made it easier to store on my first FJ-40.

I just wanted to share a nice mod. Lots of people may have done it on their own but I thought that I'd elevate the visibility of it to the Expo community.

I did this mod so I could store the handle and beam under the seat on my Fj 60. I dropped the "jack" itself in an ammo can. It was easy to keep clean and out of the way.

The looks on the tech inspectors at a week long off road event were great as I walked them around to the places where all the parts were kept, but it counted as having an off road jack!

When I purchased the Hi-Lift winch kit it came with hitch pins for both the foot and handle.
