A friend of mine is going to change the shocks next weekend. He has a lift and heated garage, and I don't feel like laying in the snow fighting with the seized shock bolts. Which kind of sucks as changing rear shocks is otherwise the easiest thing to do next to changing the air filter or loading a different tune.
Been looking at winter tires and wheels, with the idea that 1) they would extend the life of the overpriced KO2S I'm running and 2) easily transition to a 2022 F150 assuming they didn't change bolt pattern and offset.
Thinking about studded General Artic LT tires in 275/70R18 to keep them similar diameter to the "34s"
Also considering a custom tune from Auto Mafia down in Florida who are super experienced with the cyclone motors, having made an NA car run low 12s with bolt ons and a tune. Did I also mention that car was a whipped mule of a rental fleet and had 170k miles on it and 2.73 gears?

I'll have to look into this. If it's a few MM offset change but the hub size and bolt spacing is the same, I should be ok with the sizes I'm intending to run.

The plastic trim piece on the hatch of the topper shattered during my -37 adventure, so that's on the replacement list yet again.
Going out this weekend for some Whiskey in the Woods. Overnight lows are around the freezing mark so no canvas tent or wood stove this time.
I'm looking at an Esker Classic 10x10 for when we only have 3 guys as the 14x16 is too large and heavy for those outings. I just don't have $1200 free at the moment, as I also need a new backpacking bag and still need a sleeping bag. Been looking at the Granite Gear Blaze 60 which would shave 3# off compared to my MEC Ibex 65. At $270 USD plus the courier fee to get it from across the border, that doesn't come cheap.
Still using my crappy Hotcore sleeping bag with fleece blanket for hiking trips. With the pandemic, locally has been very poor selection for sleeping bags, especially at my favorite local store.
Also need to find a way to compress picture sizes on my phone as all of them are too large a file to post.

Had some good tasting Glendalough double barrel Irish whiskey this weekend.
I think was as cold as -8°C over night Saturday night, Friday night was a few degrees warmer. And Saturday during the day was beautiful and warm. Went on a short hike. Sat by the fire and shot the breeze.
Was reasonably comfortable sleeping in the back of the Fiddy with a -1° C Woods bag and my laughably untrue -10° C rated Hotcore bag, on a 2" foam mat (forget the brand, from Cabela's)
Friend and his GF slept in their tent. The snow was hard enough to walk on without sinking.
My other friend set up a little center pole tent I forgot to take a picture of, it's like two Swedish military ponchos zipped together that become a tiny tent.

Looks like a good time... I mowed my lawn and planted a garden... It was a cool and crisp 85°

What are some of you paying for 87 regular as of this week?
Today we can find $1.169 per liter or $4.424 per US gallon.
Premium 91 is generally 15-20 cents per liter above that so $4.99 per US gallon or higher.
Also, almost found the exact truck I wanted locally, $54k MSRP. It has the 301a package I don't want, LED box lights that will be blocked by swing cases, but otherwise color, configuration, and the rare 2.7 PP.
Guess we'll be driving the Fiddy for a while longer.
