The Heap. A Gen 2 Tracker/Vitara Build

The rig now has about 200 miles on it. Not many kinks to work out (yet) But I do feel that the factory coils,
with 250k+ miles and a winch bumper made for a front suspension that needed sorted.

I sourced some Jeep Liberty coils, and from reading others with experiences with them, removed one coil, and tossed them in.
I gained a solid 1-1/2", which I feel is perfect. Chassis is dead flat front to rear now, and I have a full 12" under the front crossmember.
Time will tell if I need to raise the rear at all.

Those tube fenders turned out great! I wonder how something like that would look on my 1st gen Tacoma... I haven't seen anyone do it, but the OEM fenders are unobtanium.

Thanks, they did turn out decent. Far from perfect cosmetically, but perfect was never the goal.
Not one body panel on this thing without a few dings/dents, and Im perfectly okay with that.

Make them too nice and you are afraid to run them.

In other news, we just broke 200 miles on the fresh build. Another 50 miles and Ill do its first oil change with conventional oil.
Another short oil change at 500 miles, then finally at 1000 miles it will be changed, and fed its first fill of fully synthetic.

THEN we shall commence the flogging. 😁
