Where did you score the steel wheels from?

A friend of mine that knew i had been looking for a set for a long time, finally gave me the call!! :D

I think the first sign of a sickness is shopping for WHEELS before you even have a rig to put them on. Been looking for these for over 2 months!

Any pics?

The center cap on the far left wheel is from an 80 series steelie, doesnt quite fit. I am in the process of trying to track down some for these wheels right now

There are 100 series-specific center caps available.

I'm not working right now if you want to send me to Australia I could track them down for you.

Wow, that thing looks sooo clean. Congrats, that's shaping up to be a fantastic 100. Question, how tough were the torsion bar replacements to do? I need to tackle them soon on one of my cars and I heard the job is a killer. Curious to hear what the process is like on the hundy.

Funny you should ask, i have heard the same thing and since i was in the middle of re-gearing an 80 for a friend and didnt want the "Sanford and Son" thing going on in my driveway, i had a local cruisershop do it.

Check out: San Diego Trux: www.sdtrux.com

They are the ONLY people i trust touching my rig besides me! :ylsmoke:

EDIT: These are just a few "quicky pics", i will be starting a full "BUILD THREAD" soon!

OME Rear N47L Shocks
African Outback Load Bars
Eezi Awn 1800 Roof Tent
Slee Offroad Tube Sliders
Slee Offroad Dual Battery Tray
Rasta 4x4 HD Skid Plate
Factory Steel Wheels (Austrailian)

I did not pay much attention to the plentiful N74L threads over on ih8mud, but I think there are some additional considerations with this shock (experts feel free to jump in and correct me). Are you going retain the top (pain) and bottom of the springs? With the taller 863 spring you need to retain the bottom, and I believe with the shorter 864 you would need to retain both the top and bottom. Also, I'm not sure if you need to lengthen your swaybar links to actually use the extra travel, and I think will have to lower you bump stops even with 33's so you don't damage the shock on the compression stroke.

I ended up skipping N74L because I thought I would eventually work my way from the 863's to 864's w/ spacers and I did not to want to go through the hassle of retaining the 864's.

If you are adding an ARB bar, you may have to pull the torsion bars and reindex them again to have enough adjustment to compensate for the bar. I had do this when I installed my bar and winch months after doing the lift.

Hey Tom

This is going to be a trial and error mod and i will be testing soon and adjusting as needed. If needed, i will retain the springs and lower the bump stops.

Also, i believe the 864's are taller then the 863's, from slees site (listed as same height, but 864's are stiffer, hence taller, less sag):

OME860 | 2.5" | 0-200 lbs
OME862 | 0.75" | 0-200 lbs
OME863 | 2.5" | 200-440 lbs
OME863J| 3.5" |200-440 lbs
OME864 | 2.5" | 300-600 lbs

Thanks
