Cool. I look forward to the review as they don't have much on their site about it yet. I might be interested in a second but can't afford a full on eezi-wn at this point.

Any idea on dimensions?
Or fabrics, etc.?

So far...good price.

What would be super cool would be a side-by-side comparison? (Wil-hint, hint)

Interesting...this looks EXACTLY like a sample tent that was sent to me for testing awhile back...I could go into the details but to sum it up, it was far from "Expedition" quality. The sample had flaws, right out of the box (broken zipper, poor stitching, metal burrs, broken rivits, etc). I can only imagine what production models might be like. It is impossible to acheive quality while cost cutting on your materials. When it comes to expedition gear, you get what you pay for...you can pay for it once or you can pay for it several times over in repairs & replacements ...Buyer beware...Do your homework before you trust your safety or comfort. If you are looking for an entry level tent, then this may be a low cost way to test out what it's like to use a roof top tent. My guess is that if the concept pleases you, then you'll be upgrading to a more durable product in the future.

Have you ever seen Ed Viesturs conquering a summit wearing K-Mart's latest gear? I didn't think so.

Well its not an eezi awn ,,the fabric of the eezi awn if far superrior ofcourse.

but there in no bad workmanship, no broken ribets no bad zipers and the ladder i must say its better than the eezi awn.

Im not selling this tents , i might in the future if i can buy 100 or so...
:Wow1:
im just going to review it and go from there.

majority of people can not afford to spend 1500 on a roof tent,
and I think its a real nice tent, for the money , worth every dime.

not beacuse its cheaper its not good, .

if someone wants to make 100 dolars profit building a tent, and another wants to make 900 profit building another,,, I dont care.
its plain simple 900 dolars more for diferent fabric. ,

I love eezi awn tents, and not trying to get people not to buy them..
dont get all upset here, I have buy eezi awns myself ,and just got another one with a trailer.

expeditions are not only for people with bunch of cash and with espensive tents and equipment, dont try make it like an ELITE deal.

I dont think "el coyote" its talking about the same tent.
I have it in my hands and its not what he says,, badmouth something
its not right if you dont have proof,.
BTW it is the first one to touch american soil and redesigned .
I have both tents eezi awn and this one, and my comments are based on real
experience and examining both tents.

We received the sample in December. It was returned to the mfg just last week. Between myself and another tester we spent more than 30 nights in it at temps in the mid to low 40's. The platform was excellent but some other aspects of the tent needed improvement. Yes, the fabric is different and lighter than the Eezi Awn. Either the sample you have is very similar to the one we had or from the same mfg, perhaps with the improvements that we outlined to them.

My understanding of this forum was to serve as an information resource for like minded adventurers. Sharing information, good bad or indifferent is its' purpose. I am not "bad mouthing" a product, merely sharing my hands on experience with it. Nothing more, nothing less. Sorry if you took offense...none was intended.

it does look like it ,, but its not the same tent,, there are 3 diferent
manufacturers in china "i think they are relatives", must be one of the others.
there are lots of diferences though.
