Damn, that sucks, Dan. Looking forward to a great trip, then missing at the last minute. You must really be sick! Get well. there will be lots of time to go later. Consider joining the norcal trip.
I thought that trip was full?????

I'm still hating life. I could have sucked it up, but I wouldn't have been an asset to the trip.

I think we will take another look at the Alaskan outfitter at Cabelas this weekend.

We used the Alaskan for many years. The front door zipper finally failed. Cabelas gave me a full store credit for the original cost of the tent - long out of warranty.

I replaced it with the Cabelas Outfitter XWT: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/t...arentType=index&parentId=cat550002&id=0024840. I much prefer the XWT. It's easier for me to erect and much more stoutly constructed. It is a heavy beast though. All in all, highly recommended. Best regards from the Big Empty, ELN.

Husky

Hi!

I bought last year an Husky Fast tent http://en.huskycz.cz/tech_stany.asp
they are "4 season# tents, with real snowflaps and breathing contruktion!

very easy to setup, and good space inside! 10 000mm/cm2 waterproof!

only drawback was that its quite heavy 11lb. i dont care cause i use it mainly att "basecamp". one to use on the hike is hilleberg http://www.hilleberg.se/default-e.HTM but they are hugely expensive!

i can warmly recomend Husky tents!
