Tire gate

Has anyone ever built a tire gate like this before?


How difficult was it? I'm toying with the idea of making one for my 2006 sierra 2500hd. I'd look into buying one, but the only place I've found one that I like (aluminess) makes them for everything but my truck

Are you talking about a swing out tire carrier fixed to your bumper or do you actually mean a tiregate? If you didn't know, there is a company called tiregate that makes similar products but they attach to your trailer hitch instead of bumper. They have a few other options for a pre runner style truck and a vertical one (my favorite) that acts as your tire carrier and your tailgate. Right side will hold three cans of water or fuel.
