TIRES FOR A 2006 SUPER DUTY

BFG T/A KO2. These tires are a improvement on a already great tire.

Well it was 3 sets of tires ago that I had the Toyo's and it was the old design. Ill put the Toyo A/T 2 on the list to look at.

OP, Toyo makes the AT2 and AT2 Extreme (in certain sizes). I'd go for the Extreme's if possible, deeper tread depth, thicker tread on the shoulder, larger spacing between lugs... basically a slightly more aggressive tire than the standard AT2.

Goodyear Duratrac- will wiggle for the first 3000 miles due to extra soft winter compound rubber being really soft until it drys out some. Thick tread blocks add to it.
Cooper ST Max- similar to the DT, but with strong heavy mud terrain type sidewalls. It'll still wiggle when new. Not a big deal.
Kelly Safari TSR- Cheap normal rubber version of the DT.
Cooper STT-hardcore mud terrain with road worthy manners. If your cool, the tire will take care of you.

Don't get a normal AT unless you're in CA, FL, AZ or something.

I have 5000 miles Cooper ST Max on my 2500 Dodge. So far great tires. Wearing well, to date. Great traction.

I had Michelin AT2s on my 11' F250 Diesel. They lasted a long time but traction wasn't great and they picked up and held every small stone and then threw the stones out at high speeds (I know all tires do this but it was a lot worse than any other I've had). I really like the KO2s on my RR. It's smaller vehicle but still pushing 6k lbs.

I actually really like the OEM Firestone HTs on my new Dodge. I'm beginning to think even though I'm technically offroad everyday that a HT tire better suits my needs.

NTG Racing in Santee,Ca has 8 of those tires. Brand new takeoffs for $100 ea.

When I had my 7.3 F250, I ran Duratracs and towed with them, they were great all around. I have 4 Terra Grapplers stacked in my driveway on rims that I HATED.....worst tire I have ever driven in snow, turned that rig into an 8000lb sled.....packed up with snow and they were useless. GYs were awesome.

I currently have Trail Grapplers on the Ram, not my choice but they are decent but will be swapped for Duratracs eventually.

I run General AT2s on the Tundra with good success....but you were asking Super Duty.....so I vote GY.....

I checked with a couple of local tire shops the Cooper Maxx is going away to be replaced by the SST Pro.
