Towing trailer with 04' Jeep TJ Rubi

Does anyone tow a expedition trailer with their TJ.. What type of weight do I need to stick around. Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you have the auto in your Jeep, put a transmission cooler on before you start towing. Your Rubi is rated to tow 2000lb in stock form. If you lifted it and increased the tire size plan on towing less than 1500, unless you regeared. My '03 Rubi was happy towing 1000lb of trailer and gear for about ten years before the auto called it quits.

I tow an m416 loaded down with camping gear and rtt about once a month. I have yet to weigh it, but My TJ alone weighs in at 4200. I have 35" tires and 4.88 gears but it pulls the trailer at the posted speed limit just fine unless I'm climbing some of the stupid steep mountain passes in NC and TN.
