Trailer hub and jeep jk wheels???

iv'e seen a few people do this and was hoping someone would have a definite answer to my question. The jk wheels are hub centric and the hole in the wheel is to small for the hub to fit through, so i will need wheel spacers. They will need to be something like 2.5" thick per side. where can i find these? someone said stack 1.25" thick spacers, but im not doing that. It sounds like to many points of potential failure. The bolt pattern is 5x5". i have found lug centric spacers but i dont know if it's safe to run them either. if anyone can help i'd appreciate it. thanks

We have them available. You are right that they need to be 2.5" to have the factory wheel clear the center of the trailer hub. You can PM me or call us at the office 928-227-0545.

I have an extra set of two 2.5 " spacers that I'm not using since changing wheels. PM me if you are interested.

New to the forum.... Just bought a trailer that has 5 lug 5.5 hubs trying to change it to match the rims on my JK. The JK has after market (Pro Comp 7089) rims. Here's the problem- the hub center stick out 2 inches and is 4 inches wide.

So what i am looking for is 2 inch adapter that has the 4 inch bore. The other question I have is I am assuming that I will be forced to run lug centric with the adapters.... the Pro Comps are lug centric so I don't think it should be an issue but wanted to see what the field had to say about it.

I had Procomps on my trailer and no spacer was required because the center hole was big enough for th axle hubs to fit through, even retaining the Procomps plastic hub cover. You'll still need an adapter though...may be similar cost for new axle with correct 5x5 hubs? That way you get new bearings and can even add brake drums if you want.

OK so the images may shed further light on the situation. As started breaking it down I found that the hub was bolted on to the axle. I am hoping someone could tell me if I could buy a replacement for the bolt on type of hub shown in the picture.

whoa...that looks weird. Why mess with a patch job? I would order a new axle from ABCtrailer with the correct pattern. Best $106 you can spend IMHO.

Those are truck hubs "that once contained locking hubs, now a diamond plate cover."
That are bolted to a custom steel flange. Works like the original did on the truck.

I would just order an axle with the correct offset, and lug pattern.

Well - I was hoping that someone would say "oh yeah thats a ____________ dummy! you can order them here." But Vince and Harley - think you guys are right on in ordering the whole shabang and be done with it. I have been going back in forth from trying to find a converter to hoping that there was a simple "Bolt on" hub purchase.

That's definately CJ Dana 30 front spindles and hubs. Looks like some one did a decent job fabbing it up, though it would have looked better leaving the lock outs inplace.
