I decided to do an overlanding caper in my own state of Wisconsin and see places I've never been before. I started in Ashland Wisconsin, went to Madeline Island (in the Apostle Islands), and then drove the Trans-Wisconsin Adventure Trail. While not particularly difficult, I'm realizing how diverse the different areas of Wisconsin are!

Part 1:

Part 2:

Next, I'm finishing up the southern half of the trans-wisconsin adventure trail and then heading back up north following Lake Michigan up Wisconsin's east side.

I found some amazing bluffs in southern Wisconsin! It's amazing how different the southern part of the state is compared to the northern half.

I crossed multiple ferries to get to a hike in only rustic campsite on Wisconsin's remote Rock Island.

Worked my way up into Northern Wisconsin. I tried the Northern Wisconsin Adventure Trail but it was very broken due to the recent shutdown of the "Pipeline Challenge Trail" which resulted in some backtracking and lots of rerouting.
