The ATs look very good on the Subi. The RTT, however, makes me laugh every time I see it.

Haha, yeah she mentioned you were giving her a hard time about the rtt at work. Looks a bit odd on a commuter car no? Hey, we are planning a Pony Eporess trail trip this weekend to the border of Nevada then up around the north side of the Salt Lake. Sat, Sun trip. You interested?

I have the AT/S's on our CRV. I love those tires! I almost want to grab a set and throw it on my 4Runner too! We went through a few trails in the CRV to push it to it's limits (and like 10" of ground clearance) and my buddy in his LC100 couldn't believe what were getting through.

It's something about small vehicles with AWD as long as you've got enough clearance you can get where you need to go, less is more!

We are loving them. The ride is better than the previous all seasons, they are quiet and they actually seem to be an improvement for handling too. Haven't had them on the dirt yet, so will give them a try this weekend.

Noticed you mentioned howling of your roof rack without the RTT attached. Take a black bungee cord and coil it around the front cross bar end to end. Kind of like the coils on a car's antenna. Totally eliminated roof rack noise on my sport!

I haven't heard of that but will give it a try, thanks for the tip!

Nice...RV is in pretty good shape. Ride this weekend if interested. Shoot me a PM...
Mid May for Canyoneering...Probably spend 3-4 days down in the Roost area...

Ah, sorry, better clean out the PM's. Yeah, would love to ride. Was actually just riding Round Valley yesterday. What are your dates for the canyoneering trip? I head to Mammoth the first week of May.

let me know how it works out for you....I used some 4 ft ones from home depot and wrapped it maybe 5 times around the bar. Used to get howling above 45mph now it's gone even at 80mph.

Craving Utah! Thanks for the reminder :)

I gotta ask - did you get a camera yet? Or are these all iPhone pics? Either way, awesome!

We are doing a loop across the Pony Express trail then up around the Great Salt Lake this weekend. Bugging out Friday afternoon. If you are interested, you are welcome to come.

You should come over this way sometime. No, no camera, just my tattered old iPhone 3GS. Going to upgrade to a 4s so I will be better suited to pic snapping! If I had a real camera I wouldn't want to drag it along most of the time and likely miss alot of good pic opportunities.k

I have plans saturday but I can give you some advice on what to see and do although sometimes figuring it out on your own is more enjoyable.

Yeah, if you have some must see spots I would love to hear them. Looks like we are going to bug out tomorrow afternoon. Either post them up here or tell Alyssa, she's working in the office today. Thanks

Personally I prefer the Weiss Hwy over the Pony Express. More scenic, more enjoyable to drive and fewer people. Probably too early to get up into the Deep Creek but some great hiking in a few of the canyons at the base. Blue lake is interesting but can't really explain way. If you stay Pony Express I like Death Canyon. Indian Springs is a cool, but muddy canyon. Personally I would head out to 5 mile pass, then head south toward Vernon Reservoir then, head down toward Little Sahara and catch the Weiss and just headed wander west from there. Not sure what you schedule is like but after Wendover I would be highly recommend the Silver Island Mtn loop on your way back home.

Good info. We will take your word for it about the Weiss Highway. Just pulled out the maps and figured the route out. Silver Island Mountain loop was in the plans too, followed by a trek up and around the north end of the lake via the TL Bar ranch road and the old transcontinental railway to Promentary Pt. Just packing up now. Thanks for the intel.

In an effort to streamline my trip sharing I set up a blog. Its a bit rudimentary still as it is my first attempt at blogging but it makes it easier to share my stuff between here and my UPO forums. Give it a peak and let me know what you think.....

Interesting, it works from my computer and iPad. It is very photo heavy, perhaps it is your Internet connection? Let me know if you still have trouble viewing it and I will try to trouble shoot. Thanks for the heads up Lance.
