Looks like a good time was had by all.

Did the driver of the H1 decide to sell his rig after this trip, I saw it for sale at the off road show this weekend???? Maybe too big???

Anyway thanks as always for the great pics.

Thanks for the kind words.

Nope, he's had that thing for sale for quite some time. Tough market right now. He uses it in the meantime. Yep, i saw it too right as you pull into the Expo. He actually is on this board, username Pellejeep. Friend of ours.

Great write up with awesome pictures, thanks for sharing.

Those kilns didn't seem that big from the picture from the road, but when your standing next to them thier quite big.

Great trip report! We are headed there in three weeks. Seeing your photos make me want to go to a few places I haven't been in a while.
EDIT to add: Dave, we are planning on going down Lipincott in the SMB. Think we would have trouble?

Pelle did really well in his H1 going down Lippencott...had to go a bit slow at times where it got tight, naturally. That washboard road right before Racetrack was really nasty...Rattled one of my rear auxillary lights on my WJ roof rack loose! I still have to go under and do some much needed bolt-tightening! Once we hit Racetrack it was really cool! The pictures we all took don't do justice to actually being there! Seeing the rocks and the trails they left is really cool.

Lippencott was such a fun trail! At times I really hated being the driver because I couldn't really admire the many views unless I stopped. What Dave says about this trail requiring constant attention is absolutely true...but it was a total blast!

Here's the view from my seat!

I think you will be fine, are you an EB length? You just have to make a 3 point turn at one switch back.. but it's not a big deal, that section is on a lower point. Just have the ATLAS in low range and take your time coming down. All should be good.

God....I would LOVE a week away like that! There's so much to see there that a week would provide the right amount of time to see everything! Weekend trips are fun...but the time goes by so fast that the weekend is over by the time you actually start winding down from the rat-race of reality!

Wow, nice report. I got all inspired to go this weekend until I saw the temp. I think I'll wait a few weeks. Thanks for all the effort you put into these writeups.
