Dropping the price to 20k $25,000

We are looking to sell our 2015 Turtleback. It has been loved by us since 2017 but we’re hoping for our 3rd child later this year so we’ve just outgrown it. We are moving onto a xpedition Camper Voyger.

The layout of this trailer is a bit different but we have found it to be preferable to the origional TB layout. I designed and built this layout for quick and effortless set up and tear down.

The roof rack articulates up using 8 pivoting legs and struts, it doesn’t need to be raised to utilize the tent, only the awning. The Bundutop tent is electric and opens/closes in 30 seconds at the push of a button. The alu-cab awning is just as quick and rarely requires legs or guy lines. The quick pitch en suite shower tent is enclosed in a hard aluminum box, on a 500lb locking slide. It pulls out and sets up very quickly.

There are cross pins should you want to travel with the tent raised for gear storage, we have never needed to as the inside is pretty cavernous.

The front of the trailer has a standard jack as well as a ARK extreme offroad ratcheting jockey wheel. While the rear has the single hitch mounted leveling foot. The suspension is a BRAND NEW Timbrin 3500 axle-less set up, the old torsion axle was tired.

3 150w renogy flat Solar panels are mounted to the roof and are controlled via Victron 100/30 solar charge controlled. 1 50w renogy panel is mounted to the nose box and controlled by a 2nd MPPT controller this also controls any remote panels plugged into the SAE port by the nose box. 2 controllers were used due to the input voltage differences. The roof is in series.

The front passenger side storage area stores the fridge, sink and has 2 utensil drawers. I have an ARB Elements fridge that can be purchased with the trailer.

The kitchen box on the passengers side houses all the cutlery, dry goods, plates, cups and bowls. A spot for Nested Magma pots and pans (not included). There is a two burner partner stove that comes with the trailer. The propane hose is stored under the stove, there is also a second hose for remote use should you want to take the stove to a picnic table for cooking. This area also contains an OX Box Kureg coffee maker that uses k cups. When not traveling with this coffee maker we’ll store canned goods in this area and the 120v outlets are there.

While each side of the trailer has electrical controls, additionally the kitchen box houses a Victron BMS gauge and a solar controliiler for the nose box panel and any remote panels you choose. Both sides have dimmable white/amber ambient lighting, A propane “OPEN” and water pump “ON” indicator lights, and soft switches to activate the Xantrex 2000w inverter.

The switches on both sides of the trailer activate the lighting, water pump, water heater (power to tankless water heater as well as open the propane valve), and exterior lighting. The kitchen side also has switches for the bbq propane outlet (set up out the back for a Webber), propane for the stove, power to charge the mounted olight flashlights.

The rear of the trailer gives a lighted ~64ft3 of storage with a 4x4x4’ storage area with shelves and tie downs. Trailer has an internal 26g water tank. The kitchen and the rear are protected by the alucab awning.

The passengers side has lighted storage boxes with the aforementioned electrical panel, 12v, USB and 120v power as well as a fire extinguisher.

The forward passenger hatch is the water heater, pump, trap, pressure tank, etc. and just forward of that is the hot/cold shower.

The nose box contains the heart of the trailer, 2 odyssey group 31 batteries, blue sea components galore and high quality wiring. This area contains the following

  • Xantrex 2000w inverter
  • Xantrex automatic shore power switch
  • Powermania M230 30a dual battery charger
  • Blue sea fuse box, 12v and 120v circuit breakers
  • Complete battery cut off and selectable battery isolators.
  • SunSaver MPPT solar controller for nose box 50w solar panel and remote panels.
  • Victron 100/30 solar controller for 525 (3x 175 renogy panels on tent roof)

We are looking for $25k $20kit’s a little more than some base expeditions with Chinese tents, but this rig is built for adventure and someone will appreciate it.

There is a lot here, so I’ll be posting up more pictures and videos shortly.
