I just got home from my day that started with a 5am wake up... yes I'm writing this at midnight!
I met most of the group in Scottsdale and the rest in Globe around 9ish
We got to the put in and got 21 passes for the entire group that included about 7 single amputees and 1 double. There were about 12 able bodied persons and me... we had 4 rafts, I was on a 16 foot cateraft with a very good captain!!
We had about 5 kayakers that were there for quick rescues if there was a need... the only thing that fell overboard was 1 paddle and 1 waterbottle!!
It was a little low CFM but still made for some exciting runs.
Christophe Prosneir (sp) organized this event and it was a hug success!
He handed out at least a dozen waterproof disposable cameras so as soon as I get a disc of all the pictures I will post some! he even shot some video!
what a great way to get people out there!!!
We even saw a Bald Eagle!!! that has special meaning for me!! love you grandpa!
