Excellent photos, Don! Thanks everybody, just wanted to see some more J30 love. I'll be sure to return the favor soon. Performance in the wind was a concern for me. I've been in really windy conditions in my RTT and wasn't impressed with the way it flapped and annoyed the crap out of me.

I wish I had scenery like the photos above. If I lived out west I would definitely go for the Ursa Minor. big open spaces are where it shines, I believe. Here in Florida there aren't many uninhabited areas and the places available for camping are usually have dense tree coverage. I do enjoy the coastline though and Florida's a great place to be. I don't think I'll be leaving for awhile.

Will be in San Diego this week for business. On my way I'll be stopping in to look these tops over. If I fit and it looks as good in person as it does in pics. I'll be ordering one.

Overland Expo - West 2015

Just a heads up if you are heading to Overland Expo West next week, Ursa Minor is not an exhibitor this year, so you won't find us in the list.

You can see a J30 in the Barlow Adventures booth (#85) and a J180 in the Adventure Trailers booth (#6) and one of our ECamper owners is giving a talk on overlanding in a small SUV.

I've heard from a few owners that will have their campers out in the field over various days. (shoot us an email if you'll be there!) It's a great show and every year there are more classes, vendors and activities. I'll be out there to see it all myself on Saturday, and for any owners/enthusiasts I'll bring a couple fresh growlers of San Diego craft beer...

Cheers,
John

Thanks for the kind words guys!!!
I have an IG account but never use it as its a square format and I like wide. I do use Facebook for posting lots of travel photos.

Ah that's a shame. I don't do Facebook. I do not grant them ownership of my photos.

BTW, while not optimal, you can use other apps such as InstaSize to reformat images to fit Instagram's layout. Example of a recent iPhone pano of my current project under construction: https://instagram.com/p/2rL_h_Gxr3/

Just an FYI... Facebook own Instagram... so your photos are still owned by "the hive" when you post them on Instagram.

This is way OT for this thread, but the two services are not operated in the same way. I encourage you to read the policies of Facebook verses Instagram. When FB initally bought IG, they changed the polices and millions of people deleted their accounts. FB apologized and reverted back to a semblance of the original policy which does NOT claim unlimited ownership of your photos.

To wit, here is Facebook's Terms of Service: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms
For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos (IP content), you specifically give us the following permission, subject to your privacy and application settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Facebook (IP License). This IP License ends when you delete your IP content or your account unless your content has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it.
