Hey guys thought I'd post here because my build is slowly but surely leaning towards an overland/expedition build.

Three months ago I picked up a 2011 Toyota Tacoma Access cab v6 6 speed with only 19,000 miles on the odometer.

The day I brought her home:

Quickly I began to modify I installed a URD Shortthrow shifter, Debadged and installed a 30" light bar:

I was pretty happy with how it has turned out so far but quickly realized that I needed a RTT, so I put one on order In the meantime a buddy and I welded up a bed rack.

Starting some work on some jerry can holders during break today. I'll be mounting them to the existing cargo rails and a hardware kit from Armortech off road.

Got a decent start on some jerry can holders today during break. I had some old bracketry laying around the house that I cut up to make the bottom mounting plates. Each one will have a drop bracket coming down from the cargo rails where they will attach, one will be on the passenger side and the other on the drivers side.

Well I decided to save 2 of the 6 jerry cans I had laying around the farm, bead blasting and then I'll be reprinting them. Now I need to figure out what color they'll end up

Ended up going the ratchet strap hold down route, I cut the eyelets and welded them onto the holder.

Now I just have to paint my cans and get some new gaskets :D

Looks great man!

Love the RTT bed rack you guys made up.

I could see the down sloped bars a great place to mount a spare!

That's the plan! I was actually at my local welding shop this morning looking at hinge options for the spare.

A little update jerry can holders are finished, I'm currently sanding down the bed rack and getting ready to apply Herculiner to both the rack and jerry can mounts

I'll also be making up some hi-lift mounts that will be welded onto the bed rack as well, hopefully it'll be on and mounted tonight.

I'll post pictures once I get it on

This is my idea for a hi-lift mount, whether it works or not only time will tell. I got two 1 3/4" exhaust clamps from the local parts store and drilled a 7/16 hole through the center to slide a bolt through. I ground down to flats and the head of the bolt to slide in between the clamp faces. I'll end up welding the bolt inside of the clamp the the clamp to the bed rack

Got the hi lift mounted and hanger welded on :D

Now it's just a little more grinding/prep work and then I'll be ready for the herculiner
