using dual solar charge controllers

I am sorting out my solar right know.

I have 2 morningstar 10amp controllers and 6 40 watt panels.

original idea was to have 3 panels and 1 controller in two vehicles,it worked great.

Now plans have changed original vehicle is gone and now my next project has begun

I will have 4 house batteries 6v 215ah

Can I use both controllers with 3 panels each to charge my battery bank?
My thinking is if one controller goes bad I will have atleast 3 panels still charging until I can get it fixed

So will this work?or will they fight each other?

They don't fight. They each monitor the battery and supply power if the battery is low.

You can hook up any number of various and assorted charging systems to one battery or bank and they won't butt heads. It's like having a bunch of different air compressors hooked up to one tank. Each compressor will shut down when the pressure in the tank is high enough.
