Very Cool 4-door LC

Surprising

I just noticed that the cruiser I originally posted did NOT have a FF rear axle. I guess that really surprises me as I thought that was a popular choice for Aussie overland vehicles. I was also under the impression that the FF was an OEM item on the 70 series.

I love them both! Would love to have either with a turbo diesel!

Not the best pics but what I could find in a hurry

They aren't very popular, comparatively. A nice touch though is that this model comes out with front and rear difflock as standard equipment

Here are some other similar 78 and 79 series double cabs rounded up from around the web.

I, personally, mourn the loss of ROUND headlights on the newest 70 series!

I mourned the loss of flat fenders!

That 4 door 75 is fricking sweet... lack of option for 4 doors and a bed is a reason I'm leaning towards Hilux over LC for my next auto purchase... that LC is spot on.... much better than this 100 conversion =-o

That is weird.... I believe they are too. Every one that I've ever seen had a full floater rear axle.

EDIT: here is one for sale for some more info... http://www.4x4community.co.za/classifieds/showproduct.php/product/5498
