I really like the idea of having them facing inwards. I see on that 109" SI in the above pictures that he has them mounted behind the axle. But as his 109" his quite radically altered that what works for him might not work for me. I don't think I've got much room behind the axle due to the fuel tank.
Where do they normally go, people have done this before after all, in front or behind the axle. In front of it you get a big diff that's 'in the way' and behind it sits a fuel tank.
I'll have to have a good look.
I'll keep in mind that they shouldn't be on a too great an angle. After all, it's not a rockcrawler, so there's no point installing shocks with 14" travel when the springs won't even allow for that. I guess something like 11" of travel will be fine. But as they say, assumption is the mother of all **** ups (something I've learned the hard way one time), I'll measure everything!
