Wanting softer suspension for my Thule trailer

So it looks like it uses a relatively standard torsion spring setup. Have you thought about just buying a new axle with the correct track width so you don't have to run spacers and get it with a softer spring? If you get the weight of your trailer loaded as it sits now, it should be pretty easy from someplace like Dexter, Redneck trailer supply, or any local RV place. They will usually even come with the frame mounts already welded into place, so asside from maybe having to drill holes to make the frame holes, it should be bolt on.

Don- you hit my needs exactly, in the fact that the weight of the trailer loaded for bear twice a year is about 2000 lbs. The other 361 days a year that I'm not driving to or from vacation, I'm carrying about 600 lbs, and sometimes it is equipment that shouldn't be bouncing around. So I need a system that will give me a cush ride at 600 lbs but that can also handle 2000. And since the Cush ride is used the lions share of the time, it's more important than the two times a year I'm fully loaded. I don't think anything but an air bag setup will give me the flexibility I am wanting. Do you?

Gentlemen: I found a local guy in St. Louis to weld my frame. I'm still not sure where to get the mounts and bushings for the trailing arms, or even what I should be looking for. Thoughts? Thanks.
