Wee does cross-country and back

I spent most of yesterday daydreaming about getting a bike again. (It has been 10 years) Then this morning I read this RR. Yup, the heck with getting an economy car, a WeeStrom is in my future!

Thank you for the report! I enjoyed both the pics and the narrative.

Grew up with those in south Georgia. We used to swim in the river that bordered the ranch on two sides, where these were very prevalent. The gators and moccasins had to be watched for...these, not so much. You could catch them on a line, and if they didn't bite it in half, you could fight them for a long time. They have an exolskeleton, and you cut a hole in it, and dip out the meat with a melon-ball maker, putting it in a deep fryer. Good stuff.

Those are Gar, for those that do not know. I know Florida is home to them as well.

Yeah I've heard that too...that they aren't really that dangerous. I remember the first time I caught one here in NC. I'm from Idaho and we don't got nothing like that in Idaho. Well except maybe sturgeon but they don't got gnarly teeth. The Gar I caught was not an Alligator Gar, just one of the little varieties about 16 inches long, but he had some mean teeth and I just stood there for a few seconds thinking "Good Lord what is that?!"

Thanks for sharing your ride. You may not feel you have many pictures, but you do have some really good ones.

Thanks man!

And the best part about the Wee is it gets it's worst gas mileage (48-50) on the interstate, commuting is OK (52ish) and the best I've ever got (54-56) was tearing up the twisties over around the Blue Ridge Parkway! Gotta love a machine that gets the best mileage during the funnest application! :wings:

Trip reports like this are what keep me dreaming of my own V-Strom. Thank you so much for taking the time and making the effort to post up. :bike_rider:
