Well....I took the plunge!!

So, I ordered myself up a new HRT shop truck yesterday...Joining the HRT stable will be a 2015 Ford F350 CCSB Diesel 4x4. The plan is to make Ford version of our Dodge High Speed Expo Rig, but with a few more twists and functional overland worthy upgrades. It will be a very capable and well rounded rig. I have a few ideas as to what I would like to build, but I'd also like to hear what other people would like to see in an ultimate full size?

I'm not really sure what to say. You already have the best truck made with the highest end components available on it. Not sure where you can go from there, especially with a Ford.

Very interested to see where this goes! The new injection pump and turbo setup should be great on the 15's. I'm really interested to see where the aftermarket goes for them... plus your Dodge build is incredible so I'll be taking notes on the Ford! Good luck, and looking forward to it!

To say the least...I'm looking very forward to the Ford. I honestly don't think that people give enough credit to Ford. IMO, the base suspension platform is a much better than that of the 2012 and earlier Dodge trucks, and the trucks have many other positive attributes to them as well. It should be a fun build. I will try and document this build at every stage (I'm not real good at that) and do a start to finish build thread throughout it's progression. The truck should land middle of June...then "let the games begin" :D

Haha...that's one thing that I seem to be good at - Spending money :D Sage and I will be working on fine tuning a Carli system that will do everything well and endure our winter months.

Portals....seems perfect for Canada! (always and I mean always ways to spend more money :D)

DOET!!!

Oil eater.
Leave that engine stock and you should have pretty good luck.
Interesting article in the new Diesel Power on the ramifications on pumped up 6.7's.

Really there's no need for extra HP with a truck like this. It will be left stock for now and possible deletes done to it in the future (pending fuel consumption). Gearing is so much more crucial than horsepower for the intended application. Reliability is the key ingredient with an Expo rig...

What on earth.. and where can I find info on that!?!?! Correct me if I'm wrong but portals are not good for everyday/high speed/over the road driving right? Cuz portals are awesome and I'd love to do them on my superduty lol

Yes Portals are awesome...now you really have my spidy senses tingling :D It needs to be a daily driver too...so I'll have to do some research on ratio's. Front and rear air lockers will definitely part of the build!! Thanks or sharing the vid...

Well, this time last week you could have found it parked on Clement Ave. in Alameda, CA I think it was back at Schaffer's for some follow-up. It sure stands out parked out on the street though!
