Since you are seeking a new color for your wheels I think you should make a statement.

This is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month -- I recommend you paint the wheels pink.

White would look horrible on silver. Since you think red is too loud and "look-at-me", I think your only choices are black and dark gray/graphite. Or leave as-is.

Woah what are those 5 spokes on that black 4runner? I wouldn't mind running those at all! The other set of 6spokes that are TE37 lookalikes just look to car-ish for a offroad rig..maybe its the bronze. They do look 'ok' on the fj80 though in silver.

YES!!!! You can use plasti-dip in bright pink. It will peel right off to like latex when you want it off as well:)
They also have flat white, bright orange, bright green, blue ect ect many many colors, camo/flat/nuetral colors ect. And when you wanna change you can peel it off like skin! I would do pink for this month, that would be awsome!
However look into plasti-dip..2 cans will cover 4 wheels easily & have left over for touch up. No real prep..just scrub em clean, wipe with alcohol/mineral spirits ect, maybe a light sanding if you want & spray it on & enjoy!

You can get certain colors in local stores. Other special-ish colors you will probably have to have shipped to you.

No pink sorry. I might be throwing in the towel on this one and going more conservative. My wife reminded me that this is a work vehicle as well as my personal vehicle and while Red might be cool in theory what would my customers think........yea I know what I would think. While doing some shopping I learned that Duplicolor makes a new paint designed to look like stainless steel in color Product description....

Dupli-Color® Stainless Steel Coating provides the brilliant and popular look of stainless steel to automotive accessories, such as trim, grills, and bumpers. Stainless Steel Coating dries quickly to a durable finish and resists temperatures up to 250°F, allowing for under-hood applications. Features excellent adhesion to metal, wood, iron, glass, and most other surfaces.

The color is lighter than the graphite wheel color and darker than silver so a titanium really....

Well I've gone and done it now, I watched a YouTube video on how to use Aircraft Stripper......ok that seems easy enough. After 3 applications and a pressure wash this is how much paint remains.... well it's time for professional help and not the therapist kind. I'm going ahead with having the wheels powder coated once and for all. I know some swear by this method and other prefer paint they can change but I'm tired of the constant cycle......So I'm thinking med to dark gray or satin black.

Have them sandblasted, and then paint them. I will not have anything powdercoated again. My wheels on the Tundra have flaked off and rusted (why they get a repaint every year) and the bed rack has the same issue. That super "durable" powder coat looks real good initially, but the first scratch or rock chip will start the process for flaking. just my 2 cents, and I'm sure someone else will say they never have any problems with their powdercoats. Good luck!

I was secretly considering this too, automotive paint holds up very well and can be touched up fairly easily.

I agree with the sand blast and paint route. We see some salt on the roads here, so I think it is easier to bust out the blaster every year or two and re-paint. Powder coating is NOT cheap either.

I do live in Florida and we don't have much in the way of salted roads. I considered painting but am still on the fence. Powder coating will run $65 per wheel for a grand total of $260 tire removal and remount $40, so $300 for powder coating.

Leave them natural.

Media blast them I would use walnut over sand, clear coat them...no worries about the color nicking off then. The clear coat will yellow in time, but super easy to remove, to redo.
