What Model Is This?

That would work too, I was going for cheap, available, and easy to install and fix, but to each their own.

And if it has just sat there for 4 years, he might be ready to let it go.

a 3B with a turbo would work really nice in a 40 (that has been the plan for my '64.. modern drivetrain swap).

I think you'd get a little more efficiency and the turbo brings the motor alive nicely. Also a better match for the lighter weight of a 40 over a 60.

For a wagon, I like the 6 cyl motors.

I bet a change of fluids and rubber; new battery.... and that 1F would start up....

Looks in good shape, if you can get it.

I'm with hltoppr. I'm positive that a couple of talented Cruiserheads could drive that thing out of there. The beauty of a F engine is in its simplicity. I once helped Danny Warden start one up laying on a rubber tire on the garage floor using a battery and some carb cleaner.

That is a beautiful rig, more solid than most of that age. I've been looking for a restorable '66 for a long time.

It would be Sacrilegious to put a V8 in a nice stock old-school 40 like that one. It would take a couple of days to get it running well. Drive it as is and enjoy it. :smiley_drive:

Just saw this thread! That truck is way too nice to rot in someone's backyard. When are you going over to ask for it
