What paint/or coating do you use?

Yeah, I'm looking into some kind of fabric protection systems for my trailer. Seems to make the most sense. Linex, real Linex, is the only other thing that seems like it stands a chance.

Do a bedliner of choice (Line-X, Durabak, etc.) directly to properly prepped bare metal. The rubber granules will deflect gravel without causing damage to the base material and this is the key: a cushioned impact.

I did my entire rig in Durabak and it is like new almost 2 years later (granted Colorado climate is a very different challenge) and trailer will follow when I get one.

Trailer paint

Try to find a dealer for Hammerite paint by Masterchem. It can go directly on bare metal and once cured it is a very durable coating. It is best sprayed on with HVLP or a cup gun, outside if possible, since it uses xylene for a solvent
